Why cross-border sellers run on WhatsApp instead of email
Overseas buyers reply on WhatsApp far faster than they reply to email, so foreign-trade sales moved there: first contact from a marketplace or trade show, the back-and-forth on specs and pricing, the quote, and the follow-up until the order. Email still carries the formal documents, but the live conversation happens on WhatsApp.
That makes the WhatsApp thread the real record of the deal. When it sits on one personal phone, the company cannot see it, cannot cover for the salesperson when they are offline in another time zone, and cannot keep it when they leave. The fix is to run the same number as a shared company inbox rather than a personal app.
